House Rules - City Hostel Fürth
A warm welcome to City Hostel Fürth!
Our aim is to ensure that all guests enjoy a pleasant, safe and relaxing stay. Please treat our accommodation, the furnishings and your fellow guests with respect, and observe the following house rules.
1. Consideration and quiet hours
Treating one another with respect goes without saying.
• Quiet hours are from 10.00 pm to 7.00 am daily.
• Please avoid loud conversations, music and telephone calls in the bedrooms during these hours.
• Please be considerate of guests who are sleeping, particularly in shared rooms.
2. Use of Rooms
• Rooms may only be used by registered guests.
• Transferring or subletting rooms is not permitted.
• Visitors may only enter guest rooms with the prior consent of reception.
• There is no entitlement to a specific room or bed. For operational reasons, rooms within the same category may be changed.
3. Shared rooms
Our shared rooms are for communal use. Please be considerate of others.
• Please make telephone calls outside the room where possible.
• Please store personal belongings neatly.
• Please do not leave luggage in corridors or emergency exits.
• Please only switch on the lights when necessary.
• Reserving or occupying more than one bed is not permitted.
4. Communal kitchen
The communal kitchen is available to all guests. Please note:
• Wash up and put away crockery after use.
• Leave work surfaces clean.
• Label food with your name and departure date.
• Do not use other guests’ food.
• Switch off electrical appliances after use.
5. Communal Showers and Sanitary Facilities
Please leave showers and toilets clean and tidy.
• Take your personal toiletries away with you after use.
• Use water and energy responsibly.
• Please report any damage or technical faults immediately.
6. Cleanliness
Please treat all rooms and communal areas with care. Rubbish must be disposed of exclusively in the designated bins.
7. Check-in and check-out
• The check-in and check-out times stated in your booking confirmation apply.
• Additional charges may apply in the event of a late departure.
• Please return your RFID key card to reception when you check out.
8. RFID Key Card
Please take good care of the RFID key card issued to you. In the event of loss or damage, we reserve the right to charge you for the cost of replacement or reissue.
9. Smoking and Fire Safety
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the building. Smoking is permitted only in the designated outdoor areas.
For safety reasons, the following are also prohibited:
• open flames (e.g. candles or incense sticks),
• tampering with or covering smoke alarms,
• blocking escape and rescue routes.
10. Electrical appliances
For safety reasons, personal heaters, hotplates or similar appliances must not be used. Charging mobile phones, tablets and laptops is, of course, permitted.
11. Alcohol, drugs and behaviour
Guests and staff must be treated with courtesy and respect. The following, in particular, are not permitted:
• aggressive or offensive behaviour,
• harassment of other guests,
• significant disturbance of the peace,
• excessive alcohol consumption that disrupts hostel operations,
• possession or consumption of illegal drugs,
• violence or threats of any kind.
12. Pets
Pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises of City Hostel Fürth. This does not apply to assistance dogs, where required by law. In such cases, please inform us before your arrival if possible.
13. Weapons and dangerous items
Carrying or storing weapons, explosive substances or other dangerous items is prohibited throughout the hostel.
14. Wi-Fi
Our free Wi-Fi may only be used in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. In particular, illegal downloads, copyright infringements or any other misuse are prohibited.
15. Luggage and bicycles
Luggage and bicycles may only be left in the areas designated for this purpose. Emergency and evacuation routes must be kept clear at all times.
16. Valuables
Please keep cash, identity documents and other valuables in a safe place. The hostel is liable for loss or theft only to the extent provided for by law.
17. Damage
Please treat the building and its furnishings with care. Any damage or defects must be reported to reception immediately. The person responsible shall be liable for damage caused intentionally or through negligence in accordance with statutory provisions.
18. Lost Property
Items left behind will be stored in accordance with statutory provisions. They will be forwarded at the guest’s request and at their own expense.
19. House Rules
Staff at City Hostel Fürth are authorised to enforce these house rules. In the event of serious or repeated breaches of these house rules, where other guests or staff are put at risk, or where there are significant disruptions to the hostel’s operations, we reserve the right to terminate the accommodation contract without notice and to expel the guest from the premises.
Statutory claims and contractually agreed payment claims remain unaffected by this.
